The Power of Clarity

Progress comes from being clear. But of course it’s real easy to say that, right?

The problem is that it’s real easy to let the urgent overtake the important. Constantly.

Here’s a simple example. It seems like in between my meetings today, that I’ve been beating my email inbox back. Right now it has 29 messages in it, but every time a new one comes in, I have to pay attention.

Just in case it’s something urgent.

But are these messages important? Mostly not. If I’m honest with myself, there are just three important tasks I have and two critical conversations.

So let me take just a minute to… think. Just think. Based on what’s important to my business, what’s important on my task list?

And what didn’t even make it to the task list because I’m not sure where to get started?

That minute of thinking will unleash my power for the rest of the day. And the rest of the week.

I’ve developed a tool which helps leaders to assess how they’re doing on clarity and other foundational elements. I’ll send you a customized report when you fill it out, giving you some feedback and ideas for where your attention might give the most powerful results. Check it out!
