It only SEEMS insurmountable!

I see a lot of people who become paralyzed by the tasks ahead.

If you think about it, though, the list of problems to be solved and tasks to be performed is ALWAYS infinite. Infinite in the sense that it extends beyond our ability to keep them all in mind.

So it’s not a problem that’s unique to you.

But how do you stay away from getting depressed and paralyzed?

First, it does pay to think through your priorities and options. After all, you want to take a step in a useful direction, right? This is where the power of your mission pays off the most.

But your next step doesn’t have to be the absolute most ideal. If that’s the standard you set for yourself, you may get into analysis paralysis. The next step can merely be:

  • In the general right direction
  • Useful
  • Something you’re inspired to actually do

If you find yourself avoiding a particular area, that’s a great time to talk it through with your coach. There’s likely some fears or perceived barriers that can be removed when you dig just a little deeper.

Sure, make plans. Get everyone aligned.

But take action. That’s the way you’ll actually GET to that better future.

One step at a time.

I’ve developed a tool which helps leaders to assess how they’re doing on these foundational elements. I’ll send you a customized report when you fill it out, giving you some feedback and ideas for where your attention might give the most powerful results. Check it out!
