Curious as a child
Do you have the whole world figured out? I sure don’t.
There are days when I’m not sure I understand anything.
That’s where it pays to be curious. Like a child.
You see, a child doesn’t know that they’re supposed to look like the one with all the answers. And new and interesting things are happening all the time; it’s a wonderland.
So they’re taking everything in. Learning. Integrating.
This is a very useful attitude for adults to nurture. You think it’s about having all the answers, but it’s not. It’s about taking the initiative to learn the answers.
And the best answers might just come from your employees. Even from children.
So show a little humility, take some initiative, and learn.
