Business coaching is about change; about the change you want to drive in your business.
A business coach is a person you can hire to help you get the change you want. He (or she) is not a “business guru” coming to tell you what to do (who wants that?). Your business coach will help you work out what is happening now and where you want to go; help you write your strategy for how to get there and help you implement that strategy.
It’s about using the process (Audit, Plan, Action, described above) to get your head clear about what you need to do and then using your business coach as a sounding board for your ideas (maybe expect some ideas from your coach, too – they have business experience and we only recruit people who can think straight. And curly).
You’ll be held accountable for the things you say you’re going to do – no letting yourself off the hook with weak excuses – your coach is wise to that one.
